Seismologist Rrapo Ormeni said today that there is no room for panic from Tuesday evening's earthquake in Belsh, whose tremors were also felt in other areas of the country.

Invited to A2 CNN, the seismologist emphasized that the Lushnje-Elbasan-Dibar area is among the most active and is a segment that generates earthquakes from time to time.

"There is no room for panic. The epicenter of the earthquake is 6 km west of Belsh and 11 km east of Lushnja, also 23 km southwest of Elbasan and 36 km south of Tirana. It was strongly felt in the epicentral area in Belsh and Lushnja with an intensity of 5 points. It was also felt in Tirana. There were 2 aftershocks. In Elbasan, Tirana and Berat it was felt with an intensity of 4 points. The Lushnja-Elbasan-Dibar area is the most active area of ??the country, because it is a large fault that extends to the south, to Vlora-Fier-Lushnja-Dibar and goes to Tetovo and Gjilan.
