Valbona, the "Bllokut" saleswoman who is known by a good part of the capital's residents, has told Euronews Albania details of the event that shocked Albania in 2014.

She says that Artan Santo, the director of a bank at the time, who was killed on his way to work, was one of her regular customers.

The seller says that he was an educated man who often bought roses from her. 

"I was most impressed by Artan Santo, he was a cultured and educated man. He bought flowers, especially on Saturdays when he was with his family, they got fresh flowers and they always bought them from me. I didn't know he was a bank manager. Then when I saw on TV who it was, I said this big man bought flowers on the street and was so kind. He spoke as if he had grown up in the village with us, he was very cultured and respectful. He didn't even accept to give him a gift, he always gave money," she says. 

Valbona cannot forget the trauma she experienced, as the murder happened very close to the place where she sold roses. 

"I had gone out there as usual and I heard the shot, I told the man that there was a murder. He was in the cafe a little higher. We didn't know who had been killed. The children were also shocked that all the journalists and cameras had caught me and I had gone out on every TV station. The police came and blocked off the area and I stayed there until the end. I stayed there with buckets of flowers after being told not to move and touch the flowers. I was touched when his son came and saw the place. Many days later "lately, I suffered from anxiety, it seemed to me that it would happen again. The citizens of Tirana would take flowers for him and put them at the place where he was killed, that's when I realized who this man was. And this work lasted a year," she said./ CNA
