A day ago, news circulated in the media that a criminal group had planned the elimination of the former head of the State Police, Gladis Nano.

Journalist Ferdinand Dervishi, during an interview in Euronews Albania, stated that such a thing is possible since the criminal groups in Albania, in cooperation with politics, have been empowered so much that they can undertake such actions against senior state leaders.

In this case, I also mention the case of Ervis Martinaj, saying that the criminal groups cooperated and eliminated almost every person close to him.

The journalist said that such a thing can also be done to high state officials, since we are in a situation where crime and politics have separated powers.

 "Can it happen in Albania that crime threatens a former Director General of the State Police? In my opinion yes. Why? We are facing a criminal situation that is difficult to read. It is no longer the classic, the criminal situation in Albania has changed.

It has changed because crime has been invited by politics to win elections and share power. Now a criminal situation has been created where it is not known where the connection between crime and politics ends. There was a collaboration of criminal groups and they produced a spectacular operation that led to the elimination of Vis Martinaj and all the people he kept close to him, be it his cousins ??or friends.

This powerful operation can go to the level of a former director, or even the current director, the head of SHISH or even the prime minister, some kind of organization. We have a connection between crime and politics in the most organized way possible since they shared powers together", said Dervishi./ CNA
