Busy session in the Assembly/ 24 agenda items to be reviewed today

The Albanian Parliament meets this Thursday, July 16, at 10:00, in a plenary session, where the agenda includes 24 items, including an interpellation with the Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj, as well as the review of a series of draft laws and draft resolutions.

After approving the minutes of the previous session and the announcements, the deputies will conduct the interpellation requested by MP Jorida Tabaku with the Minister of Finance.

Next, the Assembly will review several draft laws affecting the agricultural sector, including the draft law "On commercial receipts for agricultural products", the draft law "On the agricultural census", as well as amendments to the laws on chemical management, aquaculture and agricultural land protection.

Also on the agenda are the ratification of the technical cooperation agreement between Albania and Germany for 2025, the loan agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for the rehabilitation of the Tirana-Durres railway and the construction of the railway connection with Tirana International Airport, as well as the ratification of the Convention on the Bureau of the European Civil Aviation Conference.

The deputies will also review the amendments to the law "On the Book in the Republic of Albania", as well as the draft decision for the appointment of a member of the Statistics Council.

Following the session, draft resolutions are expected to be approved for the evaluation of the activities of institutions for 2025, including the Central Election Commission, the Bank of Albania, the Financial Supervisory Authority, the Institute of Statistics, the Electronic and Postal Communications Authority, the Albanian Radio and Television, the Audiovisual Media Authority, the Energy Regulatory Authority and the Water Regulatory Authority.

The plenary session will conclude with discussions on issues outside the agenda./ CNA
