Government decision/ Albania opens embassy in this EU country

Albania will open its embassy in Ireland. The decision was made at a meeting of the Council of Ministers upon the proposal of the Foreign Minister.

According to the government's decision, the costs for opening this embassy are covered by the 2026 budget approved in the "Diplomatic Support Abroad" program and the "Current Expenditures" item for the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.

The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs is responsible for implementing this decision. The decision will enter into force upon publication in the "Official Gazette".

DECISION ON THE OPENING OF THE EMBASSY OF THE REPUBLIC OF ALBANIA IN DUBLIN, REPUBLIC OF IRELAND

In accordance with Article 100 of the Constitution and point 1, Article 25, of Law No. 24/2026, “On the Foreign Service of the Republic of Albania”, upon the proposal of the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Council of Ministers

DECIDED:

1. The opening of the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Dublin, Republic of Ireland.

2. The expenses for the opening of this embassy are covered by the 2026 budget approved in the "Diplomatic Support Abroad" program and the "Current Expenditures" item for the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.

3. The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs is charged with the implementation of this decision.

     This decision enters into force upon publication in the "Official Gazette". /CNA
