Braho: The number of prosecutors is sufficient, more investigators are needed to close old cases

The head of SPAK, Klodjan Braho, said today that the institution's need is more to increase the number of investigators than the number of prosecutors.

Braho, while speaking before the Committee on Civic Initiatives, stated that this would also help in resolving old issues.

According to Braho, the number of prosecutors is sufficient and that increasing the role of the National Bureau of Investigation, speed and professional achievements would yield more results.

"Considering the prosecutorial system and the shortcomings in the usual system, but also the number of cases today, I think that the number of prosecutors is sufficient. This is also for the conclusion of old cases. The prosecutor has often been an investigator. Investigators should also be given powers, since it is not directly in his function. The focus is on the growth of investigators and the BKH, in increasing speed and other professional achievements," said Braho./CNA
