Territorial Reform/DP, instructions to branches for field consultations

The Democratic Party has distributed an instruction to its branches in the districts with the aim of starting on-the-ground consultations regarding territorial reform.

According to the instruction, party structures will organize hearings with local communities, while by April 15, meetings of the leaderships in each branch should be held to discuss possible reform options.

This instruction aims to engage the structures of the Democratic Party in cooperation with experts to draft a territorial division.

The Democratic Party structures will hold hearings with local communities according to a schedule set by the Parliamentary Committee on Administrative-Territorial Reform. In this context, active engagement and participation is required from the DP branches, including democrats, local councilors and experts from the opposition.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. To organize a meeting of the leadership of all branches by April 15;

2. At this meeting, the most acceptable variant of territorial division pertaining to the respective local unit should be reviewed and finalized;

3. To provide answers to the questions of the Political Survey forwarded to you regarding the new division of municipalities, the functioning of municipal and regional councils, as well as administrative units and administrators;

4. Elected individuals, mayors and councilors of local DP units over the years, should also be invited to this meeting for consultation;

5. The conclusions and written report should be accompanied by images (photos) from the discussions at the presidency meetings;

6. The reporting date will be April 20;

7. You will be informed about each meeting by the DPA Organizational Secretariat;

8. More detailed information and proposals that you will have will be forwarded to the DP local government secretariat. /CNA
