The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania has reacted today regarding the agreement for a two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran.
Through an official announcement, the MEPJ emphasizes that this ceasefire aims to pave the way towards a sustainable solution to the escalating conflict in the Middle East.
The MEPJ states that Albania has consistently supported efforts to reduce tensions, exercise restraint and meaningful dialogue.
"Disruptions to global energy supplies, including the impact of instability around the Strait of Hormuz, continue to affect economies around the world, highlighting the urgency of restoring stability and ensuring the free flow of maritime trade.
We appreciate the constructive role played by Pakistan, Egypt, Turkey and Saudi Arabia in supporting efforts for de-escalation and dialogue.
Respecting the ceasefire and engaging in good faith towards a comprehensive and lasting solution will constitute a direct contribution to regional stability, security and peace for all," the reaction emphasized. /CNA
