Charles McGonigal's ex-girlfriend, Allison Guerrero, has made very strong statements about Prime Minister Edi Rama and his acquaintance with former FBI agent Charles McGonigal.
In an interview with Çim Peka, Allison said that McGonigal paid 10 thousand dollars for a dinner with Prime Minister Edi Rama.
She also tells that she heard about Agron Neza and Dorian Du?ka, telling about their acquaintance with McGonigal.
During the interview, she stated that Prime Minister Edi Rama is corrupt. Allison also says that Rama and McGonigal are friends and often spoke personally on the phone.
Allison claims that McGonigal came to Tirana and worked with law enforcement agencies. She says that it was Rama's request to work to divide the US's capabilities, to divide the US's ally, Albania.
Interview with Çim Peka
Çim Peka: When did you first hear the name of Edi Rama?
Allison Guerrero: I first heard it 10 years ago from Charles McGonigal, maybe a week or two after I met him.
Çim Peka: Did McGonigal talk to you about a 10,000 dollar dinner with Edi Rama?
Allison Guerrero: Charles McGonigal told me and I believe that he brought a delegation during the general assembly in New York in 2017, where Edi Rama was also. They were at the restaurant 'St. George' and told me that the dinner had cost 10 thousand dollars and he had paid for it in cash.
Çim Peka: Did McGonigal or Edi Rama pay?
Allison Guerrero: Charles McGonigal.
Çim Peka: Had McGonigal paid for a 10 thousand dollar dinner with Edi Rama?
Allison Guerrero: That's what he told me.
Çim Peka: Before Edi Rama went public, he swore that McGonigal was his friend. After the publication of the scandal, he denied it, saying that he was not my friend. Was McGonigal, Rama's friend?
Allison Guerrero: I know they were close, personal friends, because I heard that Edi Rama contacted him on the phone personally. I myself was present when he spoke. Edi Rama is lying if he says that they did not know each other and are not friends.
Çim Peka: During the time you lived together with McGonigal, were you aware that he often traveled to Albania.
Allison Guerrero: Yeah, I knew.
Çim Peka: Have you ever asked him what connected him to Albania and what mission he was performing?
Allison Guerrero: Yes, I asked. He told me that he was going to Tirana to work there with the law enforcement agencies. It was Rama's request to work to share US capabilities, to share US ally Albania. And he told me that he worked very closely with Rama. And above all, it was also under the supervision of the director of the FBI.
Çim Peka: You have indicated that the FBI contacted you and showed you a photo of Edi Rama and asked you if you know this person.
Allison Guerrero: Yes, it's true. It is a photo that I had posted on Twitter, a photo that I had taken of Edi Rama and Charles McGonigal and I had written why, he is allowed to hang out with foreign dignitaries, while doing money laundering. That's how I got the attention of the FBI, after two years of trying to turn him in to the FBI.
Çim Peka: It is already known that McGonigal received 225 thousand dollars from Agron Neza, to do a service to Edi Rama, and McGonigal himself has accepted this. A few days ago, the Voice of America made a very interesting statement, that Agron Neza was not a realtor, but was an FBI infiltrator to follow McGonigal. Did you know Agro Neza, or did he tell you about this friend of his?
Allison Guerrero: McGonigal mentioned Agron Neza a lot, but I haven't met her in person. I know they were close friends and he lived in New Jersey, and it wasn't too far from New York and it was close to my dad's apartment, where I was living at the time.
Çim Peka: Have you ever heard of Dorian Ducka?
Allison Guerrero: I have heard about Dorian Ducka.
Çim Peka: What did you hear?
Allison Guerrero: I don't know much about it and I don't want to comment because I don't have much information.
Çim Peka: In one of your interviews, you said that McGonigal had a bag of money, somewhere around 80 thousand dollars. How does its truth stand?
Allison Guerrero: We were living in Brooklyn and at the back door I saw a black bag with crumpled up $100 bills.
Çim Peka: Did you ask him where he got this money?
Allison Guerrero: I did ask.
Çim Peka: What did he tell you?
Allison Guerrero: He lied to me, he told me he won it after a baseball game.
Çim Peka: Has McGonigal ever told you that he is doing business in Albania?
Allison Guerrero: Yes.
Çim Peka: Even when he was in office?
Allison Guerrero: Yeah, he told me he was working on starting his own consulting business after he left the FBI.
Çim Peka: There are two options for starting the investigation against McGonigal. A variant was that it was an email of yours to his former boss about starting the investigation, while the Voice of America says that Agron Neza is the person who made the investigation possible, because he was an FBI infiltrator.
Allison Guerrero: I believe it started with this tip of mine that I sent to the FBI and after that the FBI got Agron Neza involved. That's what I heard, I don't know how true it is. I mean you were then directed to Neza and he started cooperating with the FBI and becoming an FBI informant.
Çim Peka: From the conversations with McGonigal, did he have relations with prime ministers or heads of state like he had with Rama?
Allison Guerrero: Yes. With Angela Merkel.
Çim Peka: Was there a personal relationship?
Allison Guerrero: Yes.
Çim Peka: What about other prime ministers in the Balkans, did he mention other names to you?
Allison Guerrero: He didn't mention any names, but he told me that he had a friend in Kosovo who owned a pharmaceutical company in Bosnia.
Çim Peka: Of course you don't know, but from the evidence that is being collected in Albania, Albanian businessmen have paid millions of euros to Charles McGonigal in order not to be declared non grata. For as long as you have lived with him, have you felt this smell of money?
Allison Guerrero: He always had a lot of money.
Çim Peka: As far as you have understood, McGonigal's relationship with Rama, was it a corrupt relationship or just a friendly one?
Allison Guerrero: I would say it was both. I believe it was both.
Çim Peka: You can't say the same about the relationship with Merkel, I believe?
Allison Guerrero: No, I know McGonigal had met him, gone to some events with him, but he didn't have a close relationship like he had with Eddie Rama.
Çim Peka: Are you saying that you believe that Edi Rama was a corrupt prime minister?
Allison Guerrero: Yes, absolutely yes.
Çim Peka: Thank you.
Allison Guerrero: Thank you./ CNA
