An Albanian activist is reportedly on board the Global Sumud flotilla of ships carrying aid to Gaza. The Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) said that some of their ships were stopped by Israeli forces and that it had lost contact with some of the activists on board, including Baki Goxhaj.

Regarding the case, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Europe has made a reaction to the media, stating that it is communicating with the Israeli authorities to provide complete information on the situation. The Ministry has announced that it is in contact with Goxhaj's family and that it will provide further details in the future.

"Through diplomatic channels, the Ministry has been in communication with the competent Israeli authorities from the very beginning to provide full information on the situation and to guarantee respect for the rights of the Albanian citizen, including consular access, in accordance with international practices and conventions. The Ministry is following the matter with full priority and remains in constant contact with Mr. Goxhaj's family, and will inform in the future about further procedures that are expected to be undertaken ," the ministry spokesman said. /CNA
