Universities start/Kumbaro from Shkodra: Around 20 thousand students sit in the

Minister of Education, Mirela Kumbaro, was at the "Luigj Gurakuqi" University at the start of the new academic year. In an interview given to the media, Kumbaro said that there are about 20 thousand students throughout Albania who are sitting in the auditorium for the first time.

 

"It is an important date especially for those who are sitting in the auditorium for the first time. Registrations are still ongoing, so far there are about 20 thousand students who have registered for the first time. Today we are here to congratulate all of Albania from Shkodra as it is an important year because we have received a lot of support for scientific research. The chapters of education are almost closing. Undoubtedly, technology and artificial intelligence are our focus.

The economic and social development of the last 20 years has caused education to change to adapt to the pace. I have the support of all rectors for the review of the legal framework of higher education. Albania 2025 is European Albania, we are only 2 years away from the date set for the closure of negotiations and all university and pre-university cycles will respond to the framework.
I do not see things separated, the campuses will continue with the aim of increasing quality. Shkodra I think that soon there will be new news regarding education ", said Kumbaro

Around 870 students are registered at the University of Shkodra, a figure that is almost the same as in previous years. Kumbaro said that he will review the new education law to improve the legal framework in line with the recommendations of the open chapters on education by the EU./ CNA
