The Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës and all of Albania, Joan, delivered his sermon during the Divine Liturgy at the "Resurrection of Christ" Cathedral in Tirana.

His Beatitude, during his speech, gave important messages about humanity and about love for God.

The Archbishop said that every human being is created in the image of God and each of us has this icon within us.

His Beatitude expressed that if we begin to purify our hearts, we will love all people, just as God loves everyone.

True love, said His Beatitude, cannot be divided; he who loves loves everyone.

" By following the Lord's teaching we learn the true path to God. It is not enough to just listen to them but also to put them into practice. The Lord says that if you love those who love you and sinners do the same. What grace do you have? The Lord says love your enemies and you will be called the son of the Most High. If the heart is not purified we cannot love others. Not only enemies, but also friends. Every person is created in the image of God and everyone has this icon within him.

We are neither wiser than God nor have we greater love than God. Why does God love everyone? Because God sees within us the icon. If we begin to purify ourselves, we will begin to love other people. If we love even our enemies, we will become like God. Love in the soul cannot be divided. He who loves loves everyone. We forgive ourselves very quickly, while others do not. Saints forgive very easily because their hearts are pure. It is one thing to rebuke God and another to hate other people. If we love them, we will rebuke them with great love.
