The Chief Inspector General, Shkëlqim Hajdari, spoke today regarding the activity recently developed in the field of public inspections.

In a television appearance, Hajdari said that the number of inspectorates will be reduced, but none of them will be merged, this through mergers for the purpose of efficiency.

" The number of inspectorates is being reduced, but none are being merged. Those that have conducted separate inspections, but have a common objective, will be merged for efficiency purposes."

Where previously a business would have three different inspection teams visiting at different times, they will now be merged into one. Instead of the business having to wait three times, it will be inspected once by a joint team. This reduces unnecessary burden on businesses and improves their experience with institutions.

"The inspectorates will be staffed by people in the field, professionals who know the sector they inspect well. This guarantees not only higher quality of work, but also more credibility from the public," said Hajdari./ CNA
