The Head of the Central Election Commission, Ilirjan Celibashi, spoke at the press conference regarding the development of the electronic voting process. 

Celibashi stated that electronic voting may not be implemented in any of the municipalities. He added that due to the workload, increased focus is needed on the technical and logistical standards of the elections. 

"We have had an internal discussion regarding this. But at first we did not see much agreement on whether we would decide to develop electronic voting in some electoral units. But if it were the case of those where electronic voting has been developed before, it would make sense. Maybe for unit 10 in Tirana, but even this would not have added value. Meanwhile, in other municipalities, Berat, Tepelena, Vlora, Cërrik or Mat, voters have become familiar with the ballot. Meanwhile, due to the workload, we need increased focus on the technical and logistical standards of the elections. Most likely, we will not apply it, but we are still in internal discussion. We are also discussing it with political parties," said Celibashi.
