Negotiations for Albania's integration into the EU/ Today, the 8th

Albania and the European Union will meet this Tuesday, May 26, in Brussels within the framework of the 8th Intergovernmental Conference.

The meeting is expected to determine the final steps for this negotiating block for the "Fundamentals" chapter group.

The Council of the EU has published the official agenda of the eighth Intergovernmental Conference between Albania and the European Union.

According to the agenda, the conference will take place in conjunction with the General Affairs Council meeting and will be chaired by Marilena Raouna, Deputy Minister for European Affairs of Cyprus, whose country holds the rotating presidency of the Council of the EU.

Prime Minister Edi Rama is expected to arrive at around 18:50 for a brief statement to the media. Afterwards, at around 19:00, the Intergovernmental Conference will officially begin.

A press conference is scheduled to take place at around 20:15, coinciding with the end of the meeting./ CNA
