The Democratic Party Parliamentary Group has asked the Assembly to urgently develop a motion with debate, arguing that the ongoing citizen protests and concerns over government transparency require immediate parliamentary discussion.
The request states that the protesters have presented five main demands: the resignation of the government, the repeal of the legal framework for strategic investments, the annulment of the legal framework known as the "Mountains Package", the annulment of the changes to the law on protected areas, and the annulment of the changes to the law on Albanian cultural heritage.
These issues have also been addressed by the Democratic Party, which has filed legal initiatives to repeal these laws. Earlier, the Democratic Party also requested the development of a motion with debate on the European Commission's Report on the integration process./ CNA
