Berisha's contact with the Prosecutors, Gjokutaj reveals what happened The lawyer of the former prime minister Sali Berisha, Genc Gjokutaj, revealed in the program 'Now with Erla Mëhillin' in Euronews Albania what happened yesterday inside SPAK, where the chief democrat himself was present.

Gjokutaj said that the prosecutors of the case had delivered to the defense a copy of their decision to communicate the accusation, which according to him was a material of 500 pages.

He also said that SPAK had not made some documents available to them, for which, according to him, they themselves had accepted such a fact.

According to Gjokutaj, Berisha's contact with the prosecutors was short and completely indifferent, since according to him, the session itself was also short.

"We arrived at SPAK, they had prepared a copy of their decision to communicate the charge. It was a material of 500 pages which could not be read or communicated there. But the prosecutors, Kraja e Millonaj, made available the procedural rights in the process, which we took, signed that we were aware of. This is where the whole situation ended.

A very short record was kept, because we could not give explanations without familiarizing ourselves with the content of the decision and with a part of the acts which have not yet been made available by SPAK. They themselves admitted that they have not made some documents available to us. So we expressed our will, of course, Mr. Berisha, who did not need time, but we asked the defenders for time to get to know each other, because Berisha is quite clear about the case, but from a procedural point of view, it is our obligation to make those objections and to give explanations about it.

This is where Berisha's contact with the prosecutors ended, it was completely indifferent, because the session was also short. We are waiting for that part of the acts to be given to us, because I think that such a decision cannot be communicated if all the acts have not been made available to us", said Gjokutaj.
