Trucks block the entrance to the Vlora airport construction site/ Pacolli: It's no longer just a business conflict

Trucks block the entrance to the Vlora airport construction site/ Pacolli:

Businessman Behgjet Pacolli has reacted on social media regarding the tensions recorded this morning at the Vlora airport construction site, where trucks from "2A Group" had blocked the entrance.

Pacolli writes that this is no longer just a business conflict but a deeper issue.

He writes that the state should take action when a legitimate activity is blocked, according to him, with private guards and heavy vehicles.

The businessman adds that the authority of the state and the existence of the rule of law have been called into question.

He says that Mabco employees have been facing obstacles for weeks and that today, according to him, the non-implementation of the law and the deprivation of the right to action and movement were revealed.

Full post:

Criminal groups have once again blocked access to Vlora Airport, where Mabco has invested over 310 million euros!

WE APPEAL TO SPAK TO START A DEEP INVESTIGATION.

It's not a conflict issue, it's a deeper issue!!!

Is it a CRIME to block a legal activity with private guards, heavy equipment, and self-justification?

If so, why is no one taking action?

If anyone in this country can hire private guards, block entrances and exits, prevent the implementation of court decisions, and impose their will by force, then do we live in the Republic of Albania or the Republic of Private Guards?

What role do private guards play in this country?

How is it possible for a private company to decide who enters and who does not enter a construction site, regardless of the decisions of the Shareholders' Assembly, regardless of the decisions of the Supreme Court, and regardless of the requests of state institutions?

How is it possible for a private security company to physically block access to a strategic national asset and no one is held accountable?

If every company in Albania could hire some private guards, park trucks at the entrance, and declare itself above the law, then:

• Why do we need courts?

• What do we need institutions for?

• What do we need the state for?

Today we are no longer discussing a business conflict.

Today we are discussing the existence of the rule of law. Today the authority of the state is being questioned. Today the fundamental question is being asked: are the decisions of the Supreme Court implemented in the Republic of Albania or not?

Because, if a final decision of the Court can be blocked by a group of people with trucks and private guards, then the problem is no longer Vlora Airport.

The problem is the rule of law itself.

For months, Mabco has been facing continuous and unacceptable obstacles. For weeks, we have been seeing vandalism, blockages, property damage, and obstruction of work.

Today we are seeing open non-implementation of the law in front of everyone's eyes, as well as deprivation of the right to action and movement.

Where are the institutions that should provide answers to citizens?

This is no longer just a Mabco or 2A issue.

This is an issue that affects every citizen.

Who enforces the laws in this country?

The Law on Commercial Companies?

Supreme Court decisions?

Or private guards? /CNA
