Informality of wages in construction/ Head of Taxes: Action on the streets

The Director of Taxation, Ilir Binaj, held a joint conference with the Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj.

In his speech, Binaj focused on the non-declaration of salaries, mainly in the construction sector.

The Head of Taxation stated that the action against wage informality in the construction sector has entered a path of no return.

Binaj announced that an application will soon be launched where wage informality can be reported, reports which can currently be made at the dedicated address.

 

" The goal of the tax administration is to educate businesses, not penalize them. The innovation for 2026 will be the handling of information from third parties."

The act of not declaring wages is very serious and will be treated as such. The action against informality of wages in construction has entered an irreversible path. The phenomenon of not declaring wages can be reported at the dedicated address. Very soon we will launch a phone app to make it easier to report informality , "said Binaj.
