Protest in North Macedonia/Temporary blocking of goods movement at border points

Due to a protest expected to take place in the territory of the Republic of North Macedonia by a freight transport association, there will be a temporary blockage of the movement of goods entering and exiting the border points connecting Albania with North Macedonia.

It is learned that starting from 00:01 on 26.01.2026, the entry of goods transport vehicles into the Republic of North Macedonia will be blocked, while from 12:00 on the same date, exit from its territory will also be blocked.

Heavy vehicles transporting medical supplies or livestock will be exempt from this blockade, which will be allowed to circulate normally. Likewise, the movement of passenger vehicles will not be affected and will continue without restrictions.

Authorities call on transport entities and citizens to be informed and take the necessary measures to avoid delays and problems during this period./ CNA
