The German Embassy has reaffirmed its long-term commitment to supporting small and medium-sized enterprises in Albania, emphasizing that a large part of Germany's economic success comes precisely from this sector.

For more than 10 years, Germany has contributed to the development of Albanian small businesses, mainly through the German Development Bank, which has supported the Albanian Development Guarantee Foundation (ADGF) with over 40 million euros. During the first decade of its activity, ADGF has guaranteed over 33 thousand loans to entrepreneurs across the country.

This financial support has created opportunities for investments that would not have otherwise been realized, promoting innovation, economic growth, improving competitiveness, as well as the development of rural areas and environmentally friendly projects.

The German Embassy has also welcomed the fact that the European Union, as a co-founder of the ADGF, will increase its commitment in the future, enabling even more businesses to benefit from loan guarantees.

"Together towards the EU," the message emphasizes, preparing Albanian small and medium-sized enterprises for the demands of the European internal market.

An important part of Germany's economic success comes from our dynamic small and medium-sized enterprises. With this experience, we have been committed to the development and growth of small and medium-sized enterprises in Albania for more than 10 years.

A very important part of this is: our support through the German Development Bank KfW for the Albanian Development Guarantee Foundation (ADGF) with more than 40 million euros, which during the first decade of its existence has provided over 33,000 loans to entrepreneurs!

This has enabled "financial injections" to businesses, which would probably not have been realized, thus promoting innovation, growth, improved competitiveness and especially a transformation in rural areas and a greater commitment to environmental protection.

We are happy that the EU, as a co-founder of ADGF, will be even more engaged in the future, enabling many more businesses to benefit from loan guarantees.
