The DP's anti-corruption spokesperson, Genta Vangjeli, stated in a statement to the media that even today, many citizens who were affected by the 2019 earthquake have not found a solution for their properties.

She said that a specific case of denunciation comes from a resident of the Kombinat, who was the owner of an apartment with proven ownership, with a regular ownership certificate. According to Vangjeli, after the building was declared uninhabitable after the earthquake, the citizen was notified by the Municipality of Tirana that she was disqualified from benefiting from the reconstruction grant sub-program.

The citizen reportedly filed her complaint, but the municipality's response was that she did not benefit due to "failure to meet the conditions and criteria" according to the legal and bylaws of the reconstruction.

"It has been 7 years since the devastating earthquake of 2019, but still today many citizens have not found a solution for their properties. A specific case of denunciation comes from a resident of Tirana in Administrative Unit no. 6, Kombinat. The denunciator is the legitimate owner of a 45 m² apartment, in building no. 164, ownership confirmed by a regular certificate of ownership.

After the building was declared uninhabitable following the earthquake, the citizen was notified by the Municipality of Tirana that she was disqualified from benefiting from the reconstruction grant sub-program.
