Berisha's denunciation: Proda's drug police violated protesters, threw expired tear gas

DP leader Sali Berisha has made strong accusations against the police, saying they raped protesters.

According to Berisha, Ilir Proda's police attacked with all means and used expired tear gas.

"Yesterday, the drug police, under the orders of Edi Rama, commanded by the Crime Squad, the Gys Agast Squad and Suel Çela Squad, used brutal violence against protesters.

They attacked with all means, using expired tear gas, which under international conventions constitutes a war poison and can never be used against protests.

The tear gas had expired for three years. And after it expires, it is known to transform into other poisons that cause serious damage to systems, but can also cause loss of vision. Water cannons and other means were used.

"Peaceful protesters were beaten with batons and arrested, brutally detained in acts that are considered crimes against humanity," Berisha said./ CNA
