Interior Minister Taulant Balla at the conference "Together against gender-based violence" said that during the year 2023 there are 11 cases of femicide and this is a big alarm bell for all of us.

He informed that he has asked the General Director of the State Police to draw up a protocol on how the state's first contact with the victim is handled.

"Feminicide, 11 are the cases during the year 2023, which means a big alarm bell for all of us. Therefore, I want to inform you that since the first day in this position, I have asked the Director of the State Police to have a protocol, to draw up a protocol on how the state's first contact with the victim is handled. It should be more of a process involving a series of mechanisms. Because it should be with a different approach, it should also be the psychologist, who encourages the telling of the truth," said Balla./ CNA
