NAMES/ Two more candidates join the race for the director of the State Police

Two new names have joined the race for the position of Director General of the State Police. 

It is reported that the two new candidates who have joined the race are Ejona Gurbardhi and Suela Sulkaj. Meanwhile, the names of the other candidates also competing for this position are:

Alfred Çepe,
Rebani Jaupi,
Saimir Boshnjaku,
Lorenc Panganika,
Afrim Tafa,
Neritan Nallbati,
Idejet Faskaj,
Gentian Berberi,
Tonin Vocaj,
Skënder Hitaj,
Arjanit Arapi,
Gentjan Shehaj. 

After the dismissal of Ilir Proda, the Ministry of Interior opened the competition for this position. Competing candidates must meet several legal requirements, such as: having Albanian citizenship, having a leadership rank in the police, not having been convicted of criminal offenses and not having serious disciplinary measures in the last 5 years.

After the applications are closed, a special commission will verify the documents and hold hearings with the candidates who meet the criteria. At the end of the process, the commission will present the ranking of candidates to the minister and the new director of the State Police will be elected.  /CNA
