Water abuse, Task Force goes to the field/ Velipoja in focus of controls, appeal

Velipoja has been the focus of inspections this weekend by the Task Force of the regional Water Supply and Sewerage Company in Shkodra in cooperation with the Task Force of the National Water Supply Agency. The main goal is to raise awareness among all hotel owners and other entities in Velipoja about not wasting drinking water.

Alma Zenelhasani, inspector of the Task Force, said that these controls are also carried out to crack down on illegality for second connections or even to collect debts for unpaid obligations over the years.

" We, as the AKUK Task Force, in support of the Shkodra Task Force, are in Velipoja to supervise all illegal connections, to monitor losses in the network and to monitor the collection of bills in such a way as to sensitize the population and prevent water from being wasted in this very hot season ," declared Zenelhasani.

The Task Force Inspector also has an appeal for all entities to open new contracts if they do not intend to formalize them and avoid administrative measures...

"Being present on the ground, we call on all subscribers and commercial entities that carry out economic activity on the coastline to make the entire network formalized in such a way as to avoid administrative measures. These types of monitoring will continue throughout the Shkodra Region throughout the summer season ," said the Task Force inspector.
