"Move activity to public markets"/ Tirana Municipal Police, call to street vendors

The Tirana Municipal Police have called on street vendors to vacate public spaces. The police have requested that they move their activities to public markets.

According to the municipal police, street vendors "occupy public spaces without permission, impeding the free movement of citizens and often sell food products on the ground, in inadequate hygienic and sanitary conditions. Especially in this period of high temperatures, food products sold on the streets pose a real risk to the health of citizens, increasing the possibility of poisoning or infections."

"The Market Administration Agency has made public and mobile markets available in every neighborhood of the capital, where every citizen can: Register free of charge; Trade in safe, regular and legal conditions," the police announced./ CNA
