Greek Customs extends service hours at Qafë-Botë/ It is expected that

Starting tomorrow, May 11, 2026, the Greek customs authorities at the Mavromatis customs, at the Qafë-Bote Border Crossing Point, will extend the service hours for the passage of citizens and vehicles by two hours.

According to the official announcement of the Greek side, the border point will operate every day from 05:00 to 23:00 Albanian time, respectively from 06:00 to 24:00 Greek time. Meanwhile, previously, the operating hours were from 06:00 to 22:00 Albanian time.

The change is expected to significantly facilitate the movement of citizens, immigrants and tourists during the summer season, a period in which an increase in the flow of travelers is recorded at this border point. The extension of the hours aims to reduce waiting times and avoid queues. /CNA
