Sunday brought chaos to the roads of Laç and Lezha. Travel along the Laç-Lezha road axis has turned into a nightmare for drivers in these hot August days. To travel just 15 kilometers of road, travelers had to wait from 2 to 4 hours in traffic.

The most problematic point remains the Fushë-Milot roundabout, where the highest flow of vehicles, coming from Kosovo and Tirana, is concentrated.

Citizens consider waiting for hours in temperatures reaching 40 degrees Celsius unacceptable.

"I've been here for 2 hours, we're done. I came from America and we were stuck on the road for 24 hours, traffic, heat, what's going on like this?"  

"We have 4 hours of traffic in these 40-degree temperatures. There are sick people in line. This chaos is too bad."

"I left the airport at 11 and it took me more than 3 hours to get to Lezha. Even in New York there's not this much traffic."

"It's been 7 hours since we left Vushtrri and we're still in line. I don't know how we're going to get back to Ulcinj. We're burned out in these temperatures."

Meanwhile, traffic police have been deployed at several strategic points to ease traffic somewhat, but it has been almost impossible. This heavy traffic is expected to be present until the end of August, when the flow of vacationers in tourist areas begins to decline. /CNA
