The firefighting operation continues in the municipalities of Finiq, Delvinë, Konispol, and Saranda. Fires have been registered in Velahovo, Livinë, Ardhasovo, Bistrica, and Krongj.

According to Minister Pirro Vengo, residents of the Livina and Ardhasova areas have been temporarily evacuated.

In the early hours of the morning, a successful operation was carried out to prevent the spread of flames that were endangering the Bistrica Hydropower Plant, where air intervention is also expected at this time.

For security reasons, vehicle traffic on the Muzinë - Bistrica axis will continue to remain limited until the operations are completed.

"A very challenging night in Finiq where the firefighting teams of the Municipalities of Finiq, Delvinë, Konispol, Saranda, supported by 5? firefighters and 70 Armed Forces personnel, as well as 2?0? State Police personnel, continuously faced the fires that spread favored by the strong wind between the villages:

-Velahovo

-Livina

-Ardhasovo

-Bistrica

-Krongj

Temporary evacuations of residents in Livinë and Ardhasovo were carried out, and measures were taken to provide medical assistance to the elderly, while operational and volunteer forces ensured the protection of every endangered home and business.
