Increased flow in Kakavija/ Avoiding long lines, counters are added on the Greek side

This morning, concerns were reported about kilometer-long queues at the Kakavija Border Crossing Point, where there has been an increased influx at the entrance to Albania.

The Kakavija Border Police announced this afternoon that they have contacted their Greek counterparts, who have added counters at the entrance to Albania and are working at an accelerated pace to avoid creating long queues.

Currently, at the entrance to the Republic of Albania, 5 counters and 2 exit counters are operating, while on the Greek side, 3 counters and 2 exit counters are operating. From 08:00 to 16:00, 5482 citizens and 2090 vehicles entered and exited through the Kakavija Border Point.

The Kakavija Border Crossing Point is in constant contact with the Greek side, with the aim of managing the flow and avoiding long queues. /CNA
