Once again about Irfan and the opening of News24
Irfan Hysenbelliu

There is a media camp that feels concerned about the police going to the premises of News24 television, BalkanWeb, and Gazeta Shqiptare, owned by businessman Irfan Hysenbelliu.

A businessman drowning in debt with millions and millions of euros, who very often pays journalists' salaries late, and the Tax Office has found him in violation by not paying the millions and millions of euros that belong to social security or taxes that he must pay to the state.

Beyond this, the police going to the premises of News24 is not a pretty sight, it is an ugly sight, but it is being shamefully played out in the media and publicly with a half-truth, which cannot be anything other than a lie.

They are saying that News24 was closed. It is not true. This is fake news.

News24 has not been closed. News24 is not on air because it doesn't want Irfani to go on air to mix things up and say they closed the television. It's not like that at all.

The truth is that Irfani, as always, wanted to privatize two buildings, one of which had its lease expired three years ago, but the state did not give him this opportunity.

Not to mention the rent that has not been paid, is paid late, or has not been paid at all.

Let's go further.

Irfani intentionally confuses the first building and the second building. The one whose contract has expired and the other building that has a term of 5 or up to 6 more years. It was very simple.

Irfani would remove the equipment from the first building and take it to the second building and continue working. He would hand over the first building to the state and News24 would be on the air. But he didn't do that. He wanted to create conflict, incident and trouble.

Next, what does Irfan have to do with state property?

Does he have private businesses? Has he built mansions? Has he got hotels? He can take his television to his private properties and the state can't even close the door or turn off the electricity if he doesn't pay for the lights.  So it's very simple.

News24 has not closed.

What is happening is that Irfan Hysenbelliu is misusing his television to then go to court to create precedents supposedly in the name of freedom of the media, free speech, etc. We are not dealing with any of them here. Here the state has gone to take over his environment.

If someone comes to a citizen and takes half of his property and doesn't pay the rent and after the contract ends he won't leave the house, what happens? He goes and kicks him out. And the state is doing this too. It's kicking a bad tenant out and he didn't want to renew his contract. This is the solution.

And if Irfan wants free speech and free media, he should take his television and media to his properties and there he can continue to insult Rama and the government as much as he wants, although he will never do it because very soon you will see a power-licker like Erion Veliaj. / CNA
