Fires in Finiq/ 15 families evacuated, action continues in the village of

During the last 24 hours, 38 fires have been identified, of which 31 have been extinguished and 7 are still active. Currently, the fires are active in:

Vlora Region:

In the municipality of Finiq, the forces have been working all night and are still working, due to the situation. To ensure the lives of the residents, 15 families from the village of Velahovo and 36 families from the village of Livinë were evacuated, without any problems or injuries. 3 ambulances from the Medical Emergency Service also went to support them. Today, the situation continues to be problematic. Specifically: the fire source above the village of Hardhasov in the base and wind direction is problematic in the south direction towards Navarica as well as in the west direction of the villages of Fitore and Krane. The fire source above the village of Bistrica is being operated with vehicles from the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces. Work also continues intensively to extinguish the fire source above the villages of Dhrovjan and Krongj. The aforementioned fires have a large extent and are in rugged terrain, which hinders operation with vehicles. For these reasons, air support by helicopter was also requested. Currently operating on the ground are: 37 firefighting forces with 6 firefighting vehicles from the municipalities of Finiq, Saranda, Konispol and Delvinë; 20 police forces, 30 municipal and volunteer forces; 28 officers with 4 firefighting vehicles, 1 ambulance and 1 motor vehicle, 60 troops and 1 AF helicopter. The Croatian Canadair aircraft is also operating on the ground in the village of Dhrovjan.

- In the place called "Rëzom", near the Skërfica Tunnel, at the top of Lucë , where forest areas with spruce and bushes are at risk. Due to the rugged terrain, it is difficult to operate with land vehicles. Today, an intervention will be carried out with AdZM inspectors.

- In the village of Bolenë, Horë-Vranisht administrative unit, Himarë municipality, where the fire is developing in a pine forest. The forces of the Himarë MZSH with 2 firefighting vehicles are operating on the ground, as well as the forces of the Vlorë MZSH with 1 firefighting vehicle, residents of the area, etc. In support of local structures, 20 personnel from the Armed Forces have also gone to the ground.

-Lezha District.

The village of Malaj i Epërm , Rrëshen administrative unit, Mirditë municipality, where the fire is active in a forest area with pine trees, oaks and shrubs, in the "Vjollcë" neighborhood. The fire is under full control and today 2 firefighting vehicles, 6 forces from the MZSH, 6 forces from the forest service, 5 from the administrative unit and 2 volunteer forces will be working.

-Dibar District.

Allushi Mountain , near the village of Plani Bardhë, Klos municipality, the fire is under control and is being monitored by 6 MZSH forces and 1 vehicle, to prevent any developments from the active fire within the fire, where logs are still burning.

-Berat District

In the municipality of Poliçan, outside the territory of the Mechanical Plant , in an area with bushes and olive groves. The fire has been under control since yesterday evening and today 15 firefighters from the Poliçan Municipal Fire Department have been engaged.

-Shkodra District

In the village of Zagore, Shkrel administrative unit, Malësi e Madhe municipality, work is underway on difficult terrain to extinguish a fire in an area of bushes and grass.
