Just a few minutes ago, SPAK received the letter from the Assembly regarding the immunity of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha.
Sources inform CNA that the letter signed by Speaker Lindita Nikolla has already been submitted to the Special Prosecutor's Office.
In today's plenary session, which lasted only 8 minutes, the removal of MP Berisha's immunity was voted with 75 votes in favor.
SPAK is now free to continue with the procedures for the arrest of the head of the DP.
It is not yet known what measure SPAK will take for Berisha, that of "prison arrest" or "house arrest".
The opposition has called the entire procedure for removing Berisha's immunity unconstitutional. Sali Berisha himself emphasized that the decision taken today is an anti-democratic and unconstitutional act.
