Democratic Party MP Eno Bozdo has shared images of the floods in the Berat region on his social media. Bozdo states in his post that the situation in this region continues to be problematic and alarming.

He further adds that the damage to the embankment has worsened the situation, leading to the flooding of hundreds of hectares of agricultural land in the Municipality of Berat. The MP says that in the municipality of Dimal in the areas of Dafina, Gurë i Bardhë and Çiflik, water has penetrated into homes and agricultural land.

The Democratic Party deputies have requested the declaration of a state of emergency for the floods that are hitting the regions at risk from the rising water level, but so far the government is rejecting this request, as it has no will to compensate the residents, businesses and farmers affected by the floods. The government has no intention of compensating the citizens, but has a mind to STEAL, showing once again a total lack of concern for those who are facing the consequences of this disaster.

The situation in the Berat Region continues to remain extremely problematic and alarming. The damage to the embankment has significantly worsened the situation, leading to the flooding of hundreds of hectares of agricultural land in the Berat Municipality, specifically in the administrative units of Velabisht and Otllak. The damage is extensive and the consequences directly affect the livelihoods of dozens of families, who today feel abandoned by the state.

The situation in the Dimal Municipality is even more dramatic, where. Since yesterday, these areas have been under water, endangering not only property, but also the safety of residents. Farmers are watching as their work and effort are being destroyed before their eyes, while homes face significant material damage.

Citizens have been left completely at the mercy of fate. No one has responded to their calls for help. The lack of response and institutional coordination clearly reveals the irresponsibility and negligence of local and central structures. / CNA
