Emergency situation in Novosela/ Immediate evacuation of residents ordered

The Civil Emergency Authorities announce that, due to flooding and the immediate danger to the life and health of citizens, the immediate evacuation of residents of the Novosela Administrative Unit in the Municipality of Vlora will be carried out.

Evacuation is carried out in accordance with:

Law No. 45/2019, “On Civil Protection”
National Civil Emergency Plan
Local Civil Emergency Plans
Coordination of the operation will be carried out by:

National Civil Protection Agency (AKMC)
Prefect of Vlora District
Civil Emergency Structures in the Municipality
Priority during evacuation will be:

Children
Elderly
People with disabilities
Families in isolated areas
Transportation of residents will be provided by:

Municipality resources
Fire Protection and Rescue Service (FPS)
Armed Forces
Management of shelter and assistance for evacuees will be carried out by the Municipality of Vlora, in cooperation with the State Police, healthcare units and social structures, including:

Registration of evacuees in temporary shelters
Provision of basic needs: food, clothing and medical assistance
Periodic information on the status of the situation and subsequent measures
This announcement is of an urgent nature and comes into effect immediately. The authorities call for maximum cooperation and compliance with the instructions on the ground.
