Talks with Rama? Protest Working Group is categorical: There are no negotiations

Yesterday, the protesters' working group held its next meeting to establish the National Citizens' Assembly.

An official announcement states that the creation of this Assembly aims to take on the role of a comprehensive representative of the protest, but must first receive the approval of the protesters.

Further in the response, it is stated that the unanimous position of the working group on the formation of the National Assembly is that there are not and will not be negotiations with Prime Minister Rama.

The Working Group states that without receiving the approval of the protesters, it is not yet considered a representative of the protest.

NOTICE

Yesterday, on July 3, 2026, the second meeting of the Working Group for the Establishment of the National Citizens' Assembly was held. The meeting of this group and its purpose were approved by the National Protest Coordination Initiative Group, some of whom are members of the working group, while others came as observers.

The National Citizens' Assembly aims to assume the role of the comprehensive representative of the National Protest, but only if it first receives the approval of all protesting citizens. We emphasize that without receiving this approval in advance, it cannot yet be called a representative of the National Protest.

The unanimous and indisputable position of the working group for the formation of the National Citizens' Assembly is: THERE ARE NO AND THERE WILL BE NO NEGOTIATIONS with Edi Rama.

The Working Group has these positions at the core of its activity, which is why it has aroused the fear and revenge of the old system and the current establishment, which, by all means, is fighting to divide, delegitimize and antagonize the Working Group with the protesters and the people, and is investing everything to stop the National Citizens' Assembly from meeting.

This establishment is terrified of the union of all patriotic Albanians at a common table where over 300 anti-establishment people, some of the most qualified in our country, will sit and interact.

Meanwhile, our work is continuing with intensity, and the pressure of old politics, along with the media caught up in it, is simply increasing our motivation and that of all protesting citizens.

The National Citizens' Assembly belongs to the people and is the product of civic protest. It will convene at all costs and every patriotic Albanian will feel well represented by it!
