Ndoc's Escape/ Transfers of Dangerous Persons from Durres Prison to Fier Begin

After Altin Ndoc's escape yesterday afternoon from the Durrës Infectious Diseases Hospital, the General Directorate of Prisons has obeyed the order of Minister Besfort Lamallari, initiating the transfer of several high-risk prisoners from Durrës prison to Fier prison.

Durrës Prison is not classified as a high-security institution, so it has been deemed necessary that convicted or pre-trial detainees with increased risk no longer remain in this institution.

It is clarified that the transfers only concern persons considered to pose a high social risk and not arrested or investigated officials, who will continue to remain in their current premises.

Altin Ndoci escaped yesterday from the hospital, where he had been sent to receive medical help.
