Papa Leo XIV emëron Nuncin Apostolik në Shqipëri

Papa Leo XIV emëroi Kryepeshkopin Miroslaw Adamczyk si Nunc Apostolik në Shqipëri. Polaku Adamczyk ka shërbyer në diplomacinë e Vatikanit për 33 vjet.

Kryepeshkopi Miroslaw Adamczyk u lind më 16 korrik 1962 në Gdansk. Ai u shugurua prift më 16 maj 1987 nga Kryepeshkopi Tadeusz Goclowski. Ai është prift i Kryepeshkopatës së Gdanskut.

Pas dy vitesh në Famullinë e Shën Ignatit në Gdansk-Stare Szkoty, ai u dërgua për të studiuar në Akademinë Papnore Kishtare. Pas diplomimit më 1 korrik 1993, ai filloi të punonte në shërbimin diplomatik të Selisë së Shenjtë, duke shërbyer në nunciatura në Madagaskar, Indi, Hungari, Belgjikë, Afrikën e Jugut dhe Venezuelë.

Pas kthimit në Vatikan, ai punoi, ndër të tjera, në Seksionin për Marrëdhëniet me Shtetet e Selisë së Shenjtë. Më 22 shkurt 2013, Benedikti XVI e emëroi atë Nunc Apostolik në Liberi. Më 8 qershor të atij viti, Papa Françesku e emëroi atë përfaqësuesin e tij në Gambia dhe më 21 shtator 2013, në Sierra Leone. Më 12 gusht 2017, ai u bë Nunc në Panama. Në këtë cilësi, ai priti Papën Françesku në Nunciaturë gjatë Ditës Botërore të Rinisë në Panama në janar 2019. Më 22 shkurt 2020, ai u emërua Nunc Apostolik në Argjentinë.

Kryepeshkopi Adamczyk u shugurua peshkop më 27 prill 2013, në Katedralen Oliwa nga Kardinali Kazimierz Nycz. Përveç polonishtes, ai flet italisht, anglisht, frëngjisht dhe spanjisht./CNA
