EU Ambassador to Albania: Justice reform irreversible

The Ambassador of the European Union in Tirana, Silvio Gonzato, was present at the roundtable organized by the Albanian Helsinki Committee and the Embassy of the Netherlands.

During his speech, Gonzato focused on the reform of the judiciary, which he said is irreversible and requires sustained support. Gonzato further stated that the integrity and independence of judges is a permanent duty and effort.

“ Trust is a belief that must be constantly nurtured. It cannot be taken for granted. This means that, while judicial reform is irreversible, its implementation requires our sustained attention and support. Ensuring the independence and integrity of judges is a permanent task and effort ,” Gonzato said./ CNA
