Veliaj's appeal against the security measure/ GJKKO appoints Engert Pëllumbi to review the case

The Special Court of Appeal has appointed Judge Engert Pëllumbi to review the appeal filed by arrested Mayor Erion Veliaj. The mayor is requesting a change to the security measure "Arrest in prison", set in the February 12 session.

" The Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime registered criminal case no. 13, act, date 04.03.2025 registration, on the appeals of the persons under investigation EV, EA, MP, Sh.F., GS, with the subject: "Appeal against decision no. 7, date 09.02.02025 and decision no. 14, date 12.02.2025 of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime" that has disposed of the case of personal security measures.

"According to the draw, the monocratic panel consists of Judge Engert Pëllumbi ," the announcement states.

We recall that Mayor Veliaj's lawyer appealed the security measure to the Appeals Court of Kosovo on February 16, 2025./ CNA
