The head of the General Directorate of the Road Transport Service, Blendi Gonxhja, reacted to Çim Peka, for a statement by the latter regarding employment in this institution.

According to Gonxhe, Peka's statement that in the "Directorate of License Plates and Patents in Kashar: they employed at least 100 people from the justice system per person", is a false news.

Gonxhja emphasizes that he is proud that he has not favored any scheme of capturing independent institutions with new jobs and has not carried out "purges" of employees either.

He warns of a lawsuit against Peka, if the latter does not correct the said statement.

"Open to any verification, we ask Mr. Peka to either prove the accusation, or correct himself! Otherwise, we have the right to resort to the legal way to restore the reputation of DPSHTRR", he says.

FAKE NEWS? We reject with disgust the accusation of the moderator Çim Peka, in a panel on SYRI TV, that in DRSHTRR Tirana (as he describes it: the Directorate of License Plates and Patents in Kashar) at least 100 people have been employed, people from the new justice system (!!!!!)! We challenge Mr. Peka to come and prove us and prove his accusation! It is shameful to throw mud on a model entity, as far as the observance of the Labor Code is concerned, where for the period related to my assumption of office, and which according to Mr. Peka coincides with the establishment of the new justice system, which according to Mr. Peka, we have made more than 100 jobs, we proudly state that we have not favored any scheme of capturing independent institutions with new jobs, nor have we carried out political, party or discriminatory sweeps!

I invite Mr. Peka to learn about the fatherland of my ancestors, when this directorate broke records of purges to become a warehouse for PD and LSI militants, expelling over 700 employees in just 4 years (2014-2017), and bring to the entity (DPSHTRR) a bill of legal obligations for compensation, of 118,278,777 new Lek (or about 1.15 million Euros at today's exchange rate)! Unlike this ugly model, during my leadership (from 22.11.2018 onwards, i.e. for more than 5 years) there are only 24 disputed dismissals, still in the trial process!

Relatives, spouses, and family members of anti-government figures and MPs or former MPs of the opposition, or candidates for MPs or mayors of PD/LSI, etc., work today in DPSHTRR, as a normality for our standards and respect to the law, all witnesses to the correct, professional and completely decent spirit, like night and day compared to the era of the infamous license plate directory, when it was run by those who today represent the opposition! Open to any verification, we ask Mr. Peka to either prove the accusation, or correct himself! Otherwise, we have the right to resort to the legal way to restore the reputation of DPSHTRR! /CNA
