13 years since the serious event, where four people were killed on Bulervardin "Dëshmorët ee Kombit: and many others were injured.

On January 21, 2011, Aleks Nika, Ziver Veizi, Hekuran Deda and Faik Myrtaj were killed during the opposition protest.

On January 21, the then opposition, today in the government, protested in front of the Prime Minister's Office. The protest degraded into violence and clashes, while fire was opened from inside the Prime Minister's Office, bringing the tragic balance with four victims.

The gathering happened after the publication of a video on the "Fiks Fare" show, where Ilir Meta, then deputy prime minister, in the Berisha government appeared with a black pad in his hand, making bargains with the late former minister Dritan Prifti.

It was 2:00 p.m., when the protesters crossed the road on foot from "Skenderbej" square to the Prime Minister's Office, after the police had taken measures not to allow any vehicles.

The crowd started with calls against the then Prime Minister Sali Berisha, while only a few minutes later, they started throwing stones and hard objects in the direction of the police.

The situation became tense after the protesters tried to enter the courtyard of the Prime Minister's Office, while the police protected the inner building.

For a moment, gunshots began to be heard from within the territory of the Prime Minister's Office, and these shots left Hekuran Deda, Ziver Veiz, Faik Myrtaj and Aleks Nikaj dead.

The SP and the families of the victims say that justice has not yet been done for the victims. Prime Minister Edi Rama even calls the file of January 21 a test for the reformed Albanian justice system. The event of "January 21" is one of the most tragic dates of Albanian democracy and the long and tiring transition.

Perhaps after the opening of the warehouses in 1997, it is the most serious and responsible event in the country's political history. /CNA
