"Gives Sadushi homework" Journalist criticizes Constitutional Court:

Journalist Lavdrim Lita, invited to the "Now" show with Erla Mëhilli, spoke about the Constitutional Court's decision regarding the Erion Veliaj case.

Lita said that according to the law, the Constitutional Court looks at whether there are human rights violations or not. While in the case of Albania, the court has turned into a teacher who gives homework.

The journalist stated that the Veliaj case is a hot potato that the Constitutional Court and the Supreme Court are passing to each other.

Lita said that the duty of the Constitutional Court is to guarantee constitutional order and not to give homework, but the judges here do not feel like constitutionalists like their counterparts in Europe. The journalist said that the judges of the Constitutional Court here only benefit from the benefits that the position gives them.

"The Constitutional Court looks at whether there are violations of human rights or not. Here the court gives homework as if it were a teacher, it tells Sadushi to fill us in on this. It's a hot potato that they pass to each other. The Constitutional Court maintains the constitutional order, here it gives homework as a teacher. They don't feel like constitutional judges, they only receive the benefits that the position gives them, they don't see their counterparts in Europe ," said Lita.
