Today's episode of the podcast "Different, but together" broadcast on CNA TV brought to the public the story of young Gersi Troka.

His mother, Merita, spoke a little about her experience when she learned that her son had been diagnosed with Down syndrome.

As the 25-year-old's mother said, the biggest challenge was not related to the information available at the time about this syndrome, but to the work they had to do next so that their son would have positive results during treatment.

Further, Merita Troka emphasized that the integration into society of a person with this syndrome is an important element, which according to her also comes as a result of help and support from the family.

"I don't often look back. However, I remember that time. It's not that I didn't know or had no information about Down syndrome, but I wasn't informed about what work needed to be done with these people, where I needed to go and what I needed to work with.
