OFFICIAL/ Italy or Australia? Decision made for Milan-Como

The Milan-Como match will officially take place in Perth, Australia on February 8, marking a new step in the internationalization of Serie A.

The news was confirmed by Serie A president Ezio Maria Simonelli during an interview with Sportmediaset during the Italian Super Cup in Riyadh.

According to Simonelli, all organizational issues have been resolved and the plan is proceeding according to expectations. He emphasized that an agreement has also been reached on the issue of the referees, who will be from Asia. Guarantees for the quality of the refereeing have been given by Pierluigi Collina.

The Serie A president also praised the success of the Italian Super Cup in Saudi Arabia. The move of this match aims to further increase the global reach of the Italian championship.
