Albania girls team defeated in friendly by Turkey

Albania's women's team played their second friendly match against Turkey today. In the match played at "Riva Milli Takim Tesisleri", the red and black team was defeated with a score of 2-0.

Unlike the first match, coach Grima made 8 changes to the lineup, giving almost all the girls in the squad the opportunity to be active.

The team played a very good first half, despite the disadvantage. In the 9th minute, Zarka tried his first shot on goal, trying to find the net, but the ball ended up over the crossbar.

The home team took the lead first in the 16th minute, thanks to a goal scored by Busem Seker.

Redzepi was very close to scoring the equalizer in the 39th minute. After a free kick from Vuksani, which sends the ball towards the area and is initially punched by the goalkeeper, Redzepi shoots, but the ball ends up in the corner.

The first half ended with a score of 1-0 for Turkey. The second half started better for the red and black girls, who came close to the area several times and created chances, but failed to finish. The home team scored the second goal in the 83rd minute, sealing the score 2-0, while in the last minutes Turkey scored another goal, which was canceled due to a foul.

This was the second friendly match between the two teams, after a 1-1 draw in the first match. Two meetings that served the red and black staff to test new elements, to see the state of the team and to improve tactical aspects in the context of the upcoming qualifiers.
