Qatar 2022/ Protest against the regime, National team players do not sing the national anthem

Iran's national football players have chosen a special way to protest against the regime and dictatorship in the country. Numerous protests have been held in the capital of Tehran and other cities of Iran for more freedom and rights for women.

The brutal beating of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini, who died as a result of police violence for violating the rules of wearing a hijab, prompted thousands of people to take to the streets to protest.

The event caused major revolts in the Islamic Republic of Iran, as the situation worsened after the murder with 6 bullets of 20-year-old Hadis Najafi, the blonde who became the symbol of the protests that have been suppressed by force.

Iran's players did not sing the national anthem, while fans of the national team unfurled a banner that read: "Women, Life, Freedom".
