Gibraltar-Albania, the first time in history between the two national teams

The Albanian national team will face Gibraltar for the first time in history, this Thursday in a friendly match.

The Reds, led by Silvinho, are looking to test their formation and get a convincing victory before the official challenge against Latvia in the World Cup qualifiers.

Gibraltar, ranked 199th in the world, have won just 10 of their 100 matches and suffered their heaviest defeat, a 14-0 defeat to France last year. The match will be played at the 2,500-capacity Europa Sports Park stadium with artificial turf.

We remind you that Albania's list has changed with several absences: Adrian Bajrami has chosen Switzerland, Ylber Ramadani is injured and has been replaced by Enis Çokaj, while Ernest Muçi has not been called up for medical reasons.

Defender Maldini Kaçurri has been called up in place of Bajrami. After the friendly on September 4, the Rossoneri will host Latvia on September 9 at "Air Albania", in a crucial match for the World Cup qualifiers.
