Bayern Munich are preparing to make one of the biggest moves of the summer transfer window. German star Florian Wirtz has been named as the Bavarians' top target.
According to what the French daily "L'Equipe" reports, the German record holders have drawn up an offer that reaches a total value of 250 million euros, including both the cost of the player's card and his salary for five years.
If this deal is completed, Wirtz would become the most expensive transfer in Bayern's history, surpassing the €100 million paid for Harry Kane in the summer of 2023.
Reported details speak of a transfer fee of around €125 million, excluding bonuses, while the rest of the offer covers the player's gross salary for five years, bringing the total to figures similar to those usually seen in the Premier League.
Florian Wirtz is one of the most promising young talents in German football, currently at Bayer Leverkusen. He has two years left on his contract with the club, but interest from Europe's elite clubs has increased pressure on his future.
